Nokia Equipped with a Digital Virtual Assistant, its name is Viki

Even though it has just returned to the smartphone market, Nokia certainly doesn't want to be outdone by other manufacturers in adding features to its new devices.

In the near future they are said to be releasing a digital assistant feature which is likely to be called Viki. This digital assistant will have the same functions as the Google Assistant, Apple Siri and Samsung's virtual assistant, reportedly called Bixby.

Rumors about this Viki emerged after GSMInfo.nl discovered a patent registration by Nokia about software that functions like a digital assistant. In the description of the patent registration, it is written that this software can be used to access information on the internet with a display like instant messaging software.

"This software is used to create and monitor web sites and mobile digital assistants. It works using knowledge and combines all data sources in a chat interface and is also voice-based," as stated in the patent registration report.

It is unclear whether this digital assistant will only be used on Nokia phones, or will also be used on other Android smartphones. As did Huawei, which uses Amazon Alexa on its Mate 9.

Nokia's return to the smartphone market began with the release of the Nokia 6, which features a 5.5 inch full HD screen with 2.5D glass. The processor is Snapdragon 430, with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, as quoted from Digital Trends, Wednesday.

In the camera sector, the Nokia 6 carries a 16 megapixel resolution and an 8 megapixel front camera. There is also a dual amplifier that delivers a louder 6dB sound and Dolby Atmos improves the quality of the phone's audio output for USD 246.
